I just listened to the September 8 2011, Podcast, True Murder for your book Trails of Death. What I thought might be an interview regarding your book was instead two hours of your anti-American apologies. It was embarrassing. You fell over yourself professing your love for all things Canadian and then demonstrated your callous insensitivity toward numerous Canadian victims of murder to this. “Robert Pickton blah, blah, blah, killed these people blah, blah, blah.” You insulted the American military, the state of Georgia and the United States in general. You called the F.B.I a bunch of idiots and then told the host you have an incredible respect for the Mounties from growing up watching the cartoon Dudley Do-Right. You apologized for Americans being so ignorant of countries outside of our borders, yet you repeatedly demonstrated your ignorance of Canada. Unfortunately, because of how you conducted yourself, anyone outside of the country who hear this interview is going to think less of us.

Hi, how are you and thanks for the comment. I suggest reading my book on the case, Trails of Death. I do go into detail about Gary’s MO. But what you will also find is that it was a combination of factors that I discovered which led him to kill and become only the third known serial kille
r in U.S. history to begin killing in his 60′s.

Fred, I honor your opinion.
Gary Michael Hilton’s only fear is Federal Super Max. GMH said this in one of his interrogations/interviews by Investigators. Enroute to FL from GA, GMH offered up 32 unknown victims for immunity from prosecution in the DP Trial of Cheryl Hodges Dunlap. This offer was denied by Leon Co., FL Prosecutor Willie Meggs.
IMO, the Gary Ridgeway/Green River Serial Killer(Kings Co., WA)prosecution strategy may be the reason for the Feds trying the NC case for the tragic abduction, torture, mutilation, and murder of John & Irene Bryant…

Well, Walmart has drastically reduced the true crime books they carry. Barnes and Noble is the major sales outlet.

Just curious – why are there no books in the WalMarts in the Leon County/Wakulla County areas? Since it happened here, you’d think the publisher would pepper the area pretty good if people wanted to read about it. I heard a few came to Barnes and Nobles and Books a Million but no write up about it in the newspaper/nothing on the WCTV. Wonder what’s going on?
